•  On Feb 5th, Wang Xingyi, Fu Chunsheng and Li Zhanchen, senior executives of CGWAMC, attended the National Financial Working Conference in Beijing.

• On Feb 6th, "Asset Pool" system of CGWAMC was officially opened on the website of the corporation. First posted were 167 projects with RMB10.77 billion Yuan held by CGWAMC in terms of loans, properties and shares, covering over 20 industries such as real estate, textile, pharmaceuticals, etc. Major press agencies of People's Daily, Economics Daily, Financial News, People Network, and Homeway Network reported on it.

• From Feb 7th to the morning of the 9th, CGWAMC held a Branch CPC Committee Secretary and General Manager Meeting in Beijing.

 • On the morning of Feb 26th, Mr. Shang Fulin, Secretary of corporation CPC Committee hosted the first Party Committee Meeting of CGWAMC in 2002, discussing the arrangement of leadership and departments of the corporation, as well as branch offices across China. Mr. Wang Xingyi, Mr. Fu Chunsheng and Mr. Li Zhanchen, the senior management of the CGWAMC, attended the meeting. Mr. Wei Lijiang, Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Corporation, attended the meeting as a non-voting delegate.

• On Mar 8th, asset securitization symposium of CGWAMC was held in Beijing, and relevant executives from the Management Department of the People's Bank of China, Southern Securities, Dagong Global Credit Rating Co. Ltd and Yihe Legal Firm were invited to attend the symposium.

• On Apr 12th, Mr. Wang Xingyi, President and CEO of CGWAMC, left for Hainan to attend Asia Boao Forum.

 • On Apr 27th, 20 members of the Youth League of CGWAMC attended the Commemoration Ceremony for the 80th Anniversary of the Youth League and the "May 4th Commendation Meeting" held by the Youth League Committee of Central Financial Working Committee.

• From May 8th to 14th, 6 representatives of CGWAMC headed by deputy CEO and vice president Li Zhanchen visited Italy to discuss NPL disposal and other cooperation with Credito Italiano, Banca Nazionale del Lavoro SpA, and Banca Intesa SpA.

• On May 15th, Mr. Wang Xingyi, President and CEO of CGWAMC, met with the delegation of KAMCO headed by Chairmen and president Won-Yong Yon. Mr. Wei Lijiang, chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the CGWAMC, attended the meeting.

• From Jun 3rd to 13th, Mr. Wang Xingyi, President and CEO visited Russia and Turkey to hold meetings respectively with Credit Sector Restructuring Bureau of Russia, Turkey Banking Regulators and Turkey asset management corporations.

• On Jun 15th, Mr. Wang Xingyi, Mr. Fu Chunsheng, and Mr. Li Zhanchen, the senior executives of CGWAMC attended CPC Representative Meeting of the financial sector in Beijing.

• On Jun 18th, Mr. Wang Xingyi, President and CEO of CGWAMC hosted a meeting with assistant of general manager level and up of CGWAMC, announcing several appointments. Mr. Zhang Xiaosong, Mr. Qin Huizhong, Mr. Qu Xingyi and Mr. Kuang Xuzhong were appointed members of CPC Corporation Committee; Zhang Xiaosong was appointed Deputy CEO and Vice President of CGWAMC; Qin Huizhong was appointed Secretary of Disciplinary Committee; Qu Xingyi and Kuang Xuzhong were appointed assistants of CEO. Mr. Shang Fulini and Mr.Wei Lijiang attended the meeting and delivered important speeches.

• On Jul 11th, Mr. Wang Xingyi, President and CEO, hosted a Meeting for Secretaries of Party Committee and General Managers of local offices.

• On Aug 6th, with the formal approval of the State Economic and Trade Commission, Henan Huanghe Forestry Stockholding Co. Ltd was established and became another formally established stockholding company that has undergone the transformation of debt-equity swap led by the corporation.

• On Aug 8th, the first Senior Research and Study Class jointly sponsored by CGWAMC and Tsinghua University to tutor directors and supervisors for debt-equity swap enterprises was completed.

• On Sep 10th, under the call of the Party Committee of CGWAMC, the departments and local offices donated a total of RMB 285,250 Yuan to build a "Hope Project School" named after "The Great Wall" at Long County, Shanxi Province and set up the "Poverty Relief and Education Assistance Fund" to help local poor students.

• On Sep 25th, China Securities Regulatory Commission formally accepted the application material submitted by CGWAMC regarding the initial public offering (IPO) of shares by Jinxi Car Axes Co. Ltd.

• From Oct 10th to Dec 22nd, 2002 Autumn Leader Training Class of the Financial Working Committee School of the Central Party School commenced in Tianjin, altogether 16 staff above the level of directorship participated in the training.

• On Oct 15th, CGWAMC held a press conference for its 3rd anniversary. Mr. Wang Xingyi, President and CEO delivered a keynote speech and answered the questions from reporters.

• On Oct 16th, the signing ceremony of the partial transfer of the stock of Chong Qing Titanium Products between CGWAMC and Panzhihua Iron & Steel (Group) Corporation was held in Chong Qing. In accordance with the agreement, CGWAMC sold its 39 million shares of the stock of Chong Qing Titanium Products to Panzhihua Iron & Steel (Group) Corporation at a price of RMB 120 million Yuan.

• From Oct 29th to Nov 12th, a delegation led by Deputy CEO and Vice President Fu Chunsheng visited England, France and Germany.

• On Nov 7th, Mr. Wang Xingyi, President and CEO of CGWAMC, participated in the 16th Party Congress of CPC as a representative in Beijing.

• On Nov 19th, Mr. Wang Xingyi, President and CEO of CGWAMC, hosted the Party Committee Theory Study Meeting in the head office to convey the contents of the 16th Party Congress to its members.
